H-1B Introduction
The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa. It is designed to allow U.S. employers to recruit & employ foreign professionals in specialty occupations within the United States for a specified period of time. Foreign workers must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. H-1B visa may be generally extended to six years, and sometime may be extended to seven years under certain circumstances.
H-1B visa holders must work for the Only U.S. employer who requested the H-1B visa. In case of changing in employment, Alien must send a formal petition to U.S. Immigration. H-1B visa holder may also be allowed to change to another non-immigration visa status.
