Mr. Longfei Zhu is the co-founder and managing partner at Kurt K. Chang & Associates, LLC. Mr. Longfei Zhu currently focuses on all aspects of immigration law, corporate law, and commercial litigation. Mr. Zhu came to the United States as an F-1 student many years ago. His academic and foreign background gives him a distinctive apprehension of legal problems while he is solving legal issues for clients. With his extensive knowledge and diligence, he has helped numerous clients to achieve their goals.
Mr. Zhu obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Northwest University of Politics and Law in China. After acquiring several years of working experience in China, he started to pursue his Master of Laws degree in International Business and his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Thereafter, he also obtained his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. During his second and third years of the J.D. program, Mr. Zhu focused on Corporate Law, Immigration Law, and Estate Law.
In addition, Mr. Zhu acquired various experiences through his internships and externships while he was in pursuing the J.D. degree. Those internships and externships gave Mr. Zhu different perspectives regarding the U.S. legal system. As a legal intern, the legal areas he was experienced including bankruptcy law, immigration law, federal income tax law, health care marketplace appeals, and estate planning.
After graduation, he worked for a mid-sized immigration law firm in New York, NY, where he obtained extensive experience in employment-based immigration and non-immigration cases. Thereafter, Mr. Zhu joined another law firm on wall street in New York, NY, where he worked exclusively on immigration and non-immigration cases (EB-1, EB-2, NIW, H-1B, L-1, RFEs, etc.) before founding Kurt K. Chang & Associates, LLC.
